Samsung Omnia (i900)

One of the greatest of the original Bugbear iPhone for business users is the lack of business-friendly features such as support for Exchange. There are a lot of water has passed under the bridge since then and, while Apple has developed its proceeds, other mobile phone manufacturers are eager to learn from their mistakes.

Many of them are fans of Apple to steal the crown of the touch screen and cement a solid place in the hearts of businesses and consumers, but few people really are not people to offer a device that can be used both inside and outside the office, without compromise. Until now, perhaps?

One such competitor for the throne is Samsung i900 with his mobile phone. The Omnia, because it is more commonly known, whose name translates as “everything” in Latin and “wish” in Arabic, claiming that users with everything you could want in a mobile device “in touch”. But is it really complies with the advertising?

Dubbed an “all-in-a maxi-phone with a fully loaded top of the line smartphone improved multimedia features and backed by a € 5.8 billion (£ 4.7 million) campaign in the UK, with advertisements seemed in around the world since the tube in the papers (we have not seen the toilets … anyway), the commercialization of toilet paper is sufficient for your digestion.

However, one step back from what traders are trying to make us believe that something really find a gem business.

The exterior of the device is first class, but closer inspection reveals that if you have a plastic rather than metal finishing, it’s a little disappointing. However, it does not seem cheap, which is an important attribute for someone in a business environment, particularly for those involved in decision making frequent meetings. (more…)
